Angel You

Angel You
 sits on rock
formed before time

love for you
pours from me
like water
over Virginia Falls
where other angels
hover reflections
of your so bright light

Angel You is for my daughter, Thyra.  She's always on my mind.  Rallentanda at POW asked that we write about "What's on our minds" this week.

I chose "Angel" for ABC Wednesday Round 7, A.  Jump on board, poets!  ABC Wednesday has many picture posts from around the world that are a delight to check out every week.  There are also quite a few writers posting words.  Check it out!

I took both pictures in Glacier National Park last Sunday.

Indeed the link between a mother and daughter is always a powerful one. I lost my mum in 1994 but the memories I have are a constant source of hope and comfort and I always laugh when I think of the fun we had!

A lovely contribution for ABC Wednesday.

Beautiful photos and with my daughter leaving for college soon... she is very much on my mind, both in an angelic sense and a very worldly sense.

Great photos! How grand to be at Glacier National Park!

You wouldn't be biased by any means, Brenda? Lovely poem, lovely imagery, lovely photographs!

Brenda, such a beautiful poem for your daughgter. I suggest that perhaps you keep a file with all poems about your daughter, so she can look at HER poems sometime!

I only had two sons and they were not angels, though pretty good all in all. But then I am not an angel either. Very nice photography.

Great contribution to the meme. My daughter I think of as an angel; she's not of course, but still...

Mary--great suggestion, thank you!
Chris, I'm write there being un-angelic with you.
Roger, Mine's not always perfect, either. Poetry is filled with embellishments. ha!

I like the ethereal quality of the first photo, and the way you coaxed out that angelic shape in the second. The poem's image of falling water reflected in the light is also quite good.
